Fairytale ...

.
With our new catalog soon to be released, I have been super busy sorting, cleaning, and tagging all of my retiring merchandise.  I can't wait to show my friends all the glorious new products in our upcoming catalog and sharing my excitement with them this weekend.  In preparation, I visited a few of my favorite blogs for inspiration.  I hope you like what I have to share today ...

First, The Shabby Tea Room has shared this photograph with a gorgeous color combination.  I see browns, yellows, greens, and pinks laid out in coordinating stripes.  I found the perfect paper to capture the look.

I know that it's a bit "heavy" on the pink but what girl could go wrong with pink?! My colors are So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, and Certainly Celery. The sentiment from our Full of Life stamp set says it all.  The pink polka dots are from the Tea Party collection, only available until the end of this month.

Another blog I visited this week is Design Dollies who told me to think "ice cream"!  Now, if that isn't dangerous ... I don't know what is!  This card reminds me of Strawberry ice cream or Lemon Sherbet.  Thanks for making me think "outside of the box" ladies ... and for that bowl of ice cream this afternoon that I just HAD to have!

I was instructed to use "Something Old" on my project from the talented artists at Lexis Creations.  What fun!  I am sure that the large brown button and the small yellow button are from our Button Latte collection.  Aren't they sweet?  But that tan button ... hmmmm.  It's actually wood-like and I dug it out of my "button box".  We all have one of those don't we ... a button box filled with treasures?  I have my mother's and it's filled with love.  Since I have no idea when or where I got that tan button - it's perfect for "Something Old"!

How could I not think of flowers when the lovely ladies at Delightful Sketches told me their theme this week is "All About Summer"?  I just adore flowers of any size or color.  I am in awe of their delicate beauty.  My yellow posey started as Whisper White cardstock.  With a So Saffron re-inker and some water I dyed it this yummy shade of yellow.  I only used two punches ... 5 Petal Punch and our Extra Large Fancy Flower punch.  The pearl is from the Pretties Kit and my Dazzling Diamonds glitter adds just the right amount of bling.

Thank you for visiting today.  Be sure to stop by to see the artistic images at the blogs listed above.  They are sure to inspire you!

  6. Joanne this card is lovely! I know that you are an earth tone kind of gal, but I love the pinks that dominate your card. I love everything about your card and one of these days you are going to have to give me a lesson on tying those beautiful bows!
