Fall ....

This is my favorite time of the year.  It's a rainy day but that doesn't deter my feelings for season ... fall colors, crisp morning air, and piles of leaves.  We'll be getting our pumpkins and corn stalks for the front porch soon ... and baking chewy ginger cookies - yum.

The designers at Colour Q opened us up to any of their past color combinations we wanted .. and they provided the sketch too!  I love all the colors they put together and I just couldn't pick a favorite.  So .. when in doubt ... call for help.  Here's the sketch and the color combination my daughter Sabrina and her friend Lucy selected.

Isn't this top sweet?  That Poppy Parade is just gorgeous!  Thanks for pointing me in this direction girls!

I used two Designer Series Papers for my card.  The base is So Saffron with a sutle zig-zag layed with a Poppy Parade print  from the Sunny Garden collection (cut with the Top Note Die).  My chipboard is from On Board Mix & Match .. painted then glittered with Dazzling Diamonds.   Clear Bitty Buttons with white thread followed the sketch in the upper right corner.  And along the bottom is Stampin' Up's gorgeous Raven Lace Trim

The ladies at Tuesday Throwdown challenges everyone to use at least three punches.  My flower is created with three punches ... Fancy Flower Extra Large, 5-Petal Flower Extra Large, and a retired smaller flower punch for the center.  Made out of Whisper White cardstock, I sprayed it with Smooch Spritz Vanila Shimmer and added a black rhinestone from Black Flourish Designer Jewels.  The flower leaves are from the same Sunny Garden paper (reverse side) and created with Little Leaves die.  Resting on a rosette made of lace, the tag stamped in Bashful Blue and punched with our Jewely Tag punch says it all.

You can see more "flower and lace" projects at The City Crafter ... it's their theme of the week!
And the ladies at Stampin' UP Only Challenges have more wonderful ideas on how you can use your Top Note die!

Thanks for stopping by ... enjoy the colors of fall!
